Jiden [link] at sheezy totally recovered my file for me and I'm very grateful for it So because they did that I was able to finish it And here's the finished version. The knife gave me tons of problems so hopefully it looks decent enough. This is by far the best I've done for sure so tell me what you think ^_^ The picture I drew it from is in my image folio on my profile page on PaperDemon. oh sorry for the big watermark across it
The knife looks pretty good. The deatail on the ear is great! And i love the sweat droplets, it really completes the look. You should be proud of this, you've done a good job
Well thanks! I think the sweat droplets actually make the pic lol but thanks again and I am very proud of this

I agree, it is really nice! but I have a crit (don't get mad! I just want you to get even better! ok?)
With out looking at the original reference to compare, I'm loving the hand, lips, eyes/eyebrows,water droplets and the ear. but... there's certain parts that are distracting, like the hair (not counting the eyebrows)... and there's a liittttle piece of the cheek on his right (our left) that is kind of smoothed out more than the rest of the area around it. I dunno; it just kind of sticks out because the rest of (most of) the skin is so texurized... where it's not as much, like on the brow/forehead, is not that noticeable, because it doesn't even look like he is wet up theres, so there's nothing to reflect off of. not saying I hate it-- don't get mad-- it's just a little distracting from the rest if you were going for realism...
same with the hair too, but more like, instead of it being smudged, it is hard to determine any definite volume to the hair. like, I keep seeing photoshopped lines, instead of just seeing it as 'hair', ya know what I mean?
anyway @_@
STILL a big improvement, and I'm glad to see you doing this kind of stuff. It makes for great practice and its effects/results will be more evident later when you go back to your comic/cartoon arts.

Don't worry I don't get mad at people who give me true constructive crit comments which I very much appreciate btw. I see what you mean about his forehead. I must've overlooked it while painting the pic. Looking at the same thing for hours on end can make mistakes invisible X( I'll see if I can go back and fix it. And his hair ugh...that only shows how bad I'm at with realistic hair. I was hoping no one would notice the crappyness that is his hair lol I'd fix it if I could do realistic hair better but since that's probably the best I can do for now the only thing I can do is make it darker and less noticeable as photoshop lines
